Yummy Green Smoothie for Arthritis and Anti-Aging


For those of you who know me, you’ll know that I live with rheumatoid arthritis, so I do my best to keep my skincare and food as natural and healing as possible. Of course, I still believe in balance—because let’s be honest, we all want to enjoy life, especially as we get older!

Most green smoothies I’ve tried in the past have been a bit... well, yuck. But after experimenting with anti-inflammatory and anti-aging ingredients, I’ve finally landed on a recipe that’s not only fresh and delicious but also nourishing for the body. It feels amazing knowing that with every sip, I’m doing something good for my health!

I don’t usually measure ingredients precisely, but today I decided to get a little more structured. Here’s my go-to anti-inflammatory and anti-aging morning smoothie:

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ compressed cups spinach – Rich in antioxidants and great for reducing inflammation.
  • 1 small green apple – Supports skin health and adds a hint of natural sweetness.
  • ¼ cucumber – Super hydrating and anti-inflammatory.
  • 1 avocado – Packed with healthy fats that support joint health and skin regeneration.
  • ½ cup Greek yogurt – I use Coconut Anchor Protein+ because I love coconut, but choose any with a 4.5-star rating or higher.
  • 1 cup water
  • 8 ice cubes – For a refreshing, smooth texture.

Instructions:

  1. Add all ingredients to your blender.
  2. Blend until smooth (about 50 seconds, or until your desired consistency).
  3. Pour into a glass and enjoy!

The consistency of this smoothie sits somewhere between a juice and a thin smoothie. If you prefer a creamier texture but still want to keep it anti-inflammatory, swap the water for coconut milk and add ½ a banana. This tweak makes it even more satisfying while keeping the healing benefits intact.

I personally think the more ice, the better it tastes
